- Description
- The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA-786-11-RP-0331 for the following service: The contractor shall be required to provide XA Upright Marble Headstone, (Old Style) with Raised Lettering (12 X 42 X 3"), XB Upright Marble Headstone (Old Style) with Raised Lettering (13 X 42 X 3") and XC Upright Marble Headstone (Old Style) with Raised Lettering (10 X 39 X3") for a Nationwide Contracts. Potential offerors will submit, at contractor expense, one down sized inscribed Type XA sample (12" X 24" X ½") representative of the marble to be used in the production of headstones under the contract. The sample shall be manufactured, finished and inscribed per specifications, reference drawings for dimensions and tolerances, and must be submitted for approval. Mark each sample on the back with permanent marker to show: contractor's name and solicitation number, and email address. Any sample which arrives damaged will not be accepted. The sample shall be manufactured, inscribed, and packaged to prevent any damage during shipping. Samples must be accompanied by a statement identifying the brand name and grit rating for the pad or stone used to produce the final finish. Failure to meet any of the requirements will result in the rejection of the sample. The sample shall establish the minimum acceptable product for all inscriptions under the contract and will be the basis for comparison of all inscription services that will be provided the contract. This sample should be received and approved prior to the closing date of the solicitation. The contractor shall be responsible for all work at the cemetery: Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following order: 1) Price; 2) Technical Qualifications, and 3) Past Performance. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS Code is 327991. Size standard is 500 employees. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov on or about August 30, 2011. Responses to the solicitation are due on or about 2:00 P.M. on September 13, 2011. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at www.fbo.gov. Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining any amendments. ****NOTE - All potential offerors who have submitted and received approval notification for a sample of same type within the last 12 months may submit a copy of that approved review with the bid to avoid submitting another sample.***** ****NOTE - All Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses shall be listed in VetBiz and been verified at time of contract award. ****
