- Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR THE REPAIR OF TWO CHRISTIE LS+58 TEST CONTROL ROOM PROJECTORS. DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH CHRISTIE DIGITAL SYSTEMS USA, INC. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc., 10550 Camden Dr., Cypress, CA 90630-4600. The Sole Source purchase will be for the repair of two Christie LS+58 test control room projectors. Repair of the projectors are: The requirements are as follows: 1. Repair of the following items for each of the projectors: a. Assy LCD PNL/Prism b. Assy filter air RoHS c. Assy lamp module 2 ea. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811212 and the size standard is $25,000,000.00. The procurement is for the acquisition of a sole source commercial service using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The proposed action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1); only one source reasonably available. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet ALL the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the repairs. Responses may be sent via e-mail to Antonie.Markham@edwards.af.mil or mailed to AFFTC/PKEW, 5 South Wolfe Ave, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185, Attention: Antonie Markham. Fax Number: 661-277-0470. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by 5:00 PM, EST, 12 September 2011, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc., 10550 Camden Dr., Cypress, CA 90630-4600.
