Description
Industry Day Announcement: Industry Day(s) for Omnibus 3 wil be held on 15-17 November 2011. The Industry Day will be conducted in San Diego, CA on a non-government facility. More specifics concerning the venue will be published later. Industry, academia, and Government personnel are cordially invited to participate in / attend the inaugural Omnibus 3 Industry Day. The Army Contracting Command - Natick Contracting Division publicly announced on August 15, 2011 the awardees for contracts issued under solicitation W911QY-10-R-0027, Navy Medicine Omnibus 3 Multiple Award IDIQ Contract. Please see the FedBizOpps posting for the list of contractors. This Industry Day will provide an opportunity for the following: (1) market research data to facilitate small business determination for upcoming task orders; (2) contractor presentations to market their capabilities to attending potential clients represented on the Omnibus 3 contracting vehicles; and (3) client presentations to announce future plans for outsourcing their requirements (not necessarily limited to Omnibus 3, for example, the target acquisition vehicle could be a Broad Agency Announcement). There are four venues: (1) presentations by both industry and Government, (2) semi-private one-on-one meetings with the Government client; (3) conference exhibition space; and (4) contractor suites. Space for items (1) and (2) will be provided by the Industry Day. Space for item (3) will be made available by the Industry Day but paid by the contractor. Space for item (4) will be arranged/paid solely by the contractor. INVITATION TO INDUSTRY - This Industry Day is not limited to Omnibus 3 contract holders. Any company may provide a presentation provided that their presentation is applicable to Navy Medicine Research. However, Omnibus 3 prime contractors will be given first priority for presentation time slots. Subcontractors will be given second priority. All others will be given third priority. Presentations (for planning purposes) will be limited to 30 minutes. Those contractors requiring more time after their presentations can announce during their presentation that their presentation/discussions will continue in their self-designated suite. A bulletin board will be available for contractors to post their suite locations and times. Contractors are solely responsible for scheduling their suite times. Costs for suites are solely the responsibility of the contractor and the Government assumes no responsibility for such costs. INVITATION TO GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL - Government personnel having current or future military medical research requirements with the expectation of outsourcing such requirements may present their plans at this Industry Day. First priority will be given to Navy personnel for presentation time slots. Second priority will be given to OASD(HA) personnel. Third priority will be given to all other DoD personnel. Presentations (for planning purposes) will be limited to 30 minutes.
