Description
Amendment FA5000-11-T-0012-0001 for Batch Laundry Equipment. The purpose of this amendment is to post the corrected solicitation FA5000-11-T-0012-0001 and post questions and answers from the site visit held on 24 Aug 2011. The questions and answers are as follows: 1. What is the largest opening/door to the facility? a. The largest entryway is a door opening 115 inches wide by 134 inches tall. 2. How will payment be made for a resulting contract? Will there be any pre-payments? a. Payment for a resulting contract will be made through Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) by an electronic invoicing process. No pre-payments will be made, only one payment after installation is complete and the end user has accepted the items. 3. Are we holding a bid opening for this acquisition? a. No. 4. Will the installation's own plumbing or other utilities contractors be involved with the installation of the equipment? a. No, no other utility contractors will be involved unless a problem arises with the water or steam supply during installation. 5. Will you accept natural gas heated/powered dryers? a. Yes, provided that all hookups are completed by the contractor. 6. Will there be penalties if the three day installation timeframe cannot be met? a. Upon further discussion with the customer, a three day period for installation is not feasible or realistic for complete and correct installation of the Laundry Equipment. Per the customer, installation should not exceed two weeks to minimize the impact to the mission. The quote submission date has been extended to 2 September 2011 at 12:00 PM Alaskan Time.
