Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 8.405-6; Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The requirement is for the purchase of Vocera badges, licenses, and support equipment for Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany, 66849. The US Army 409th CSB/ECC, THEATER CONTRACTING CENTER (TCC), MANNHEIMER STRASSE 208, KLEBER KASERNE, GEBAEUDE 3233, KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany; has a requirement to procure the following items: -Vocera Badges -Enterprise License Agreement -Vocera support equipment to include extended life batteries, protective badge sleeves, and training kits The intended delivery date for the item(s) is within 90 days of contract award. These items are available on GSA schedule. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Government Marketing & Procurement, LLC. (Vocera GSA dealer) via the GSA contract vehicle. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product no other source will satisfy the Governments requirement. All responses received within ten (15) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 1600 Central European Time (CET), September 10, 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
