Description

The Library of Congress has awarded a sole source contract to Properly Sorted LLC for the National Jukebox Database Development Project. This requirement is for the Library Services Division, 101 Independence Ave., SE, Washington, DC 20540. The proposed contract action is for services in which the Government has solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quote. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this notice. Additionally, no award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. The Library of Congress National Jukebox project requires computer programming services to maintain and augment a website created for the Library in which descriptive metadata from the University of California Santa Barbara, Encyclopedic Discography of Victor Recordings (EDVR) is imported into a custom application which controls workflow of recordings to be digitized for the National Jukebox and provides a tool for Library of Congress staff to edit EDVR data for public presentation of the Jukebox. Properly Sorted LLC is uniquely qualified for this requirement because they designed and developed the database at the University of California Santa Barbara that the National Jukebox database is integrated with. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to meet this requirement by 10am EST, 30 August 2011.
