- LSJ JSF F-135 The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program, formerly the Joint Advanced Strike Technology (JAST) Program, is the Department of Defense's (DoD's) focal point for defining affordable next generation strike aircraft weapon systems for the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and our allies. The focus of the program is affordability - reducing the development cost, production cost, and cost of ownership of the JSF family of aircraft. provide support services to address the production cost of the F-135 engine; namely material, labor and overhead costs. The contractor's support is not limited to costs incurred at Pratt & Whitney but also to Pratt & Whitney's supply base. The contractor shall include all variants of the F-135 engine including the conventional take-off and landing (CTOL), cargo variant (CV) and STOVL variants. The contractor shall utilize any valid cost reduction technique including improved parts procurement strategies, value stream performance improvement and manufacturing performance improvement.
