Description

The National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) Acquisition Management Department, Bethesda, MD on behalf of USNS COMFORT, BALTIMORE, MD. intends to award a sole source procurement to SKYTRON, INC. FOR SURGICAL LIGHT SYSTEM. This is a URGENT AND COMPELLING REQUIREMENT IN THAT the unique capabilities and qualiying factors that the proposed contrator possesses is that lights must be adjustable and maintain their position regardless of sea state and vessel movement. This product has proven capability and will provide continuity of sytem already in use. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive bids. A determination by the Government NOT to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Award will be made using SAP.
