- The Defense Logistics Agency Contracting Services Office -Battle Creek has a brand name requirement for HP StorageWorks MSA2 1TB 7.2K rpm 3.5 in Dual-port SATA Hard Disk Drive and Disk Enclosure. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) SP4707-11-Q-0116. Place of performance is Columbus, OH. Inspection, acceptance and F.OB. are at destination, Columbus, OH. This requirement is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 334112 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The single evaluation factor for award is lowest-price, technically acceptable. The resulting contract or order will be firm-fixed price. The requirement is being offered on a brand name only basis. In order to be considered technically acceptable, vendors must offer the parts described below. Offerors shall provide a price for each contract line item number (CLIN) in their quote. Offers with quantities of less than requested or products that differ from those requested will be deemed technically unacceptable. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c), if another manufacturer's server is introduced into the environment, the ArcSight Logger data is in danger of being lost because of the mis-connection between two different servers. Additionally, there would be significant risk to a successful installation or integration of new hardware and software into the existing environment if other than specified manufacturer (HP) is used. If the data is lost, then the DLA CERT will be in violation of the INFOCON requirement for the log retention. The following clauses/provisions are hereby incorporated by reference.
