- Description
- The Government requires software that will archive e-mails received by various components and departments at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, Monterey, California. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for offers. This Sources Sought seeks those contractors that have product(s) that meet or exceed the following salient characteristics: 1.The software must be compatible with Microsoft Exchange 2010 running in a VMWare ESX vSphere 5 environment. The storage platform is a NetApp SAN. 2.The product must be able to do at a minimum the following tasks: a.Automatically collect or exclude e-mails based on certain keywords, subject matter and/or content of entire text found within the e-mail. b.Automatically catalogue and classify e-mails based on pre-set filing rules and conventions. c.The software must be able to capture from the user's e-mail account w/out the end user having to "drop and drag" into another system to archive e-mails. d.The software must be able to classify e-mail based on specific subject matter or context. e.The software must be able to differentiate between personal e-mails and business e-mails. f.The software must be able to scan for personnel or legal related issues. Interested parties should submit their product(s)' salient characteristics to todd.s.bales@us.army.mil no later than 31 August 2011 at 3:00 p.m. (PST). Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for offers. Responses to this Sources Sought shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation and the Government does not intent to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
