- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Andor Technology, South Windsor, CT 06074, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for the following: 1)-(1 each)-MM-7206-75-35-O-EM, Mosiac random access active illumination device; 2)-(1 each-MM-7310-NFS-FFE-P, Nikon Universal Complete Epi Illuminator 10 with Lamp House adapter set.; 3)- (1 each)-MM-7247-BSP-100, Beam splitter Plug, 50x50 mm first surface mirror 100% epi, 0% laser, (95R/OT); 4)- (1 each)-MM-7239-50-50, Beam splitter Plug, 50% Epi, 50% laser, (50R, 50 T); 5)- (1 each)- MP-2273-CSL-027, 27mm Crossline-modern Nikon microscopes; 6)- (1 each)-MM-7239-30-70, Beam splitter Plug, 30% Epi 70% laser, (30R, 70T); 7)- (1 each)-MM-7235-F-NKF, Nikon HMX Female Flange suitable for all Nikon biomedical microscopes; 8)- (1 each)- MM-7253-GFP-GFP Exciter Filter in Holder 480x20 nm; 9)- (1 each)- 3 Channel Software configured USB Sync module. Accepts TTL input and outputs for hardware timed triggering of Mosaic illumination; 10)-(1 each)- MM-7246-2-BSP-C FP, Beam spliiter Plug 440 nm Long Pass. 50x50 nm laser quality dichroic mirror Z410RDC R: 400-430, T: 450-750 nm; 11)-(1 each)-MM-7246-4-BSP-440, Beam splitter Plug, Short Pass 440nm. 50x50 nm dichroic mirror 440 DCSP XRU; 12)- (1 each)- MP-2261-1, GFP dichroic for Epi cude; 13)-(1 each)-MP-2261-91000, Nikon microscope Epi cude; 14)- (1 each)-MM-7300-HPA, Mosiac 2x Zoom adjustable laser fiber collimator with SMA multi-mode fiber input from MM-7302-hgr-xxx. Attaches to MM-720X. Includes fiber safety locks; 15)- (1 each)-MM-7304-HGR-004, Fiberoptic Laser Randomizer 400 um only. Supplied with SMA-SMA multimode fiber. This module when combined with MM-7300-HPA provides a collimated homogeneous laser beam of adjustable diameter for approx. 5 to 10 nm, filling 0.45 to 0.0 of the DMD array height; 16)- (1 each)-IQ-WSTN-PRO, Andor Imaging Workstation. Hardware specification optimized for Iq, with Intel multicore processor, 4GB RAM and 2x 500B (1TB RAID-0) + 500GB 7, 200RPM SATA Hard disk, nVidia high performance Graphics, 27" LCD monitor, 1920x1; 17)- (1 each)- XS-INTR-002-Installation/Training. The Andor Mosaic digital imaging system will be used with four existing imaging rigs in the lab, all which use the Andor iQ imaging software. Andor Technology is the manufacturer and sole distributor for this system. The integration of the Mosaic system is to be used with the existing imaging system and video camera which require access to proprietary software and parts that only the manufacturer can provide. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Purchasing Agent at the address stated below. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Andor Technology. The NAICS Code/Size is 333314/500 EMP. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
