- A device capable of indirectly detecting/measuring small amounts of alternating and direct-current on a +/- 1 miliampere (mA) scale with a 10-micro-ampere (?A) resolution. Minimize the cross-section of existing round 50-100H MicroAmmeter Heads. Develop a Rectangular Aperture MicroAmmeter to be integrated to existing data acquisition device developed for Reclamation. Develop larger round MicroAmmeter Heads to fit around larger conductors than the previous 50-100H MicroAmmeter Heads (clear 105x65mm approximately). Test new prototype heads in a Reclamation power plant using the existing MicroAmmeter Insulation Leakage Detection System with a measurement report following the testing. The final deliverable will be a report on the feasibility of minimizing the cross-section of existing 50-100H Micro Ammeter Heads, two additional round aperture MicroAmmeter Heads (approximately 105x65mm aperture), two rectangular aperture MicroAmmeter Heads (approximately 105x65mm aperture), and a report on the measurement performance of the heads following the Reclamation power plant test.
