- (Sol# F11PS01471) This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is for purchase of Class 7 SB-2 Gravel. For more detail, please view and apply to this solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp. Once in the website, either log in with your DUNs/MPIN number or enter the document number (F11PS01471). NAICS Code: 212312, Size Standard: 500 employees. This work entails furnishing, delivering, and tailgate spreading approximately 2,000 tons of Class 7 (SB-2) Gravel on the Howell tract roads on the Cache River National Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas. Gravel must conform to Class 7 (SB-2) specifications. NOTE: Delivery trucks must be fitted with tailgate chains to allow consistent spreading of gravel. Period of Performance is estimated between August 22, 2011 - October 31, 2011. For further information contact Jonathan Windley, Deputy Project Leader at 870-347-2614 or jonathan_windley@fws.gov. Once deliveries commence, they will continue at a minimum rate of 15 loads per day until placement of gravel is complete. Deliveries will be allowed Monday through Friday (except holidays) 7:30 am - 4:00 pm and as climatic conditions allow. Weight tickets shall be provided for each load delivered. Weighing shall be at a certified and bonded scale facility. Payment for furnishing, delivery, and tailgate spreading of the gravel will be made at the unit price per ton as quoted. Contractor shall furnish or obtain all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, permits, and supplies and perform all work necessary for the delivery/performance of this requirement. The job is located at the Cache River National Wildlife Refuge (Howell tract roads) in Arkansas (http://www.fws.gov/cacheriver/) and (http://www.fws.gov/cacheriver/cache_map.html) This action is being solicited as a small business set-aside. A firm fixed price commercial order will be issued. The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders. You must register in EC at web site http://www.ccr.gov. If you have any registration questions, please call 1-888-227-2423. Prior to registering each company must obtain a Dun and Bradstreet Number. You may obtain this number free of charge at 1(866)705-5711. Once you are registered, you will be able to view solicitations on line at either http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov (the Department of Interior site).
