- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Office, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure hatches, catch assemblies, a scuttle, a manhole, and ballistic doors to be installed by the Norfolk Naval Shipyard on a Navy vessel. These items shall be fabricated in accordance with drawings as specified in the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing) and the procurement will be 100% small business set aside. The contract line items are as follows: CLIN 0001, Door, Ballistic, 2 each CLIN 0002, Door, Watertight, 1 each CLIN 0003, Door Ballistic, 1 each CLIN 0004, Hatch, 1 each CLIN 0005, Hatch, 2 each CLIN 0006, Catch Assembly, 1 each CLIN 0007, Catch Assembly, 3 each CLIN 0008, Door, Ballistic, 1 each CLIN 0009, Door, Watertight, 1 each CLIN 0010, Catch Assembly, 1 each CLIN 0011, Catch Assembly, 1 each CLIN 0012, Manhole, 1 each CLIN 0013, Scuttle, Ballistic, 1 each The solicitation number is SPMYM1-11-T-0152 and will be posted on or about 08/11/2011. Once it has been posted, drawings or referenced attachments may be requested from Kyra Fagan at kyra.fagan@navy.mil or at telephone (757) 396-8346. Technical questions must be written and sent by email (kyra.fagan@navy.mil) or by fax (757) 396-9895. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at either www.neco.navy.mil or www.fedbizopps.gov, as this office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither it nor its principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR will render the vendor ineligible for award.
