- The contract shall extend from the effective date of award October 1, 2011, 12 months, September 30, 2012 with two option years for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The estimated maximum award amounts for the base period are established based upon the Government Estimate for milk (due to market fluctuation) and the contractor's quoted price for Cottage Cheese. The total price of each line items (1a & 1b for milk) will be established each month following publication of the State of Virginia's raw milk cost. Throughout the life of the contract, the most current version of the State of Virginia Milk Commission Publication for the Eastern market of Virginia shall be used for pricing of the milk. Base Period Premiums: 68% premium for 1/2 pints 50% premium for Gallons
