- JOFOC The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Molecular Devices, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This request is for the purchase of an ImageXpress System consisting of the following: 1XM Imaging ImageXpres Micro Cellular Imaging & Analysis system, 1-2300-1060 CoolSNAP HW amera, 1-2300-1037 High-speed Laser Autofocus option; 1-2300-1115 1XM Environment Control, 1-6300-0189 Objective 4x, 1-6300-0197 Objective 40x, 9500-0117 5 Application Modules for MetaXpress Software, 1-2300-1084 1XMicro CRS Catalyst Express Plate-loading Robot option, S9200-0115 Installation and Training. This request also includes a one-year option period for 9304-1147 Field Comprehensive Plan (Platinum) for System. See the attached Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, the order will be issued to Molecular Devices. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500 Employees. This procurement is to be processed using FAR Part 13.5 -Commercial Item Test Program - Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12 Commercial Item Acquisition of Commercial Items.
