Description

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.3, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Proposals are being requested. The solicitation number is CT2062-11. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. The North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) code is 313113 (thread mills). UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a firm-fixed price, Requirements type contract for delivery to the UNICOR facilities located at FCI Englewood, CO 80123, USP Pollock, LA 71467, FCI Pollock II, LA 71467, and FCI Wasceca, MN 56093. The period of performance shall be three (3) years from date of award. The product is a commercial item, thread, various types, colors,for use in manufacturing Air-Force, Army PFU Trunks, and Marine General-Purpose Trunks. Several PD specifications (product descriptions) apply to this requirement. A complete description of the item including PD's is in Section B Supplies or Services and Prices/Costs.
