- Regional Contracting Office Bogota, Colombia intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for 25MB dedicated channels from the ministry of defense (Bogota) to the NAP of the Americas located in Miami FL. The contractor shall furnish all material, labor, equipment, and transpiration required to install communication channels. The project includes, project layout, electrical work, and other related communication supplies/services. The work within this contract shall comply with all applicable country codes. Place of Performance: Project location is in Colombia and United States For site visit contact the following individual to coordinate: Roberto Rodriguez US EMBASSY BOGOTA - EIFC rodrigurc@tcsc.southcom.mil CELL: 310-243-9503 Colombia is a high risk area, recommend that all interested sources, both local and U.S. check the U.S. State Department travel advisory website for any travel advisory information for that location. Contract Information: The award will be based on Lowest Priced best value acquisition which will be cited in the solicitation. The period of performance of this contract is based on 12 months with two option years. The resulting contract type shall be firm fixed price. Obtaining the solicitation: The solicitation will be issued unrestricted to allow U.S. and non U.S. firms to participate. The solicitation, including drawings and specifications, will be available for download from FedBizOpps - website: http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation, and the associated documents for this project, will not be issued on CD unless there are technical difficulties that cannot be promptly corrected on the FedBizOpps website. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is the contractor's responsibility to check for any posted changes to the solicitation. The solicitation and any future amendments to the solicitation will be available for download via the FedBizOpps website on or about 16 Aug 2011. CCR/FBO Registration: Potential offerors MUST register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to this solicitation. All contractors MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database or their proposal will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at web site http://www.ccr.gov. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Complating Awardee: Since the contemplating contract is to be awarded by the contracting activity located in Bogota,Colombia and to be performed in Colombia, the offerors must meet the following two requirements for OCONUS: (1) DFARS 252.225-7042, "Authorization to Perform" - The Offeror has been duly authorized to operate and to do business in the country or countries in which the contract is to be performed, and (2) FAR 52.236-7, "Permits and Responsibilities" - The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any host government and political subdivisions laws, codes, and regulations applicable to the performance of the work.
