- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSAL/OFFERS. This is a notice of intent to award a contract based on only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), 41 USC 253(c) (1). The Quality Management Office at the Providence VA Medical Center requires a Joint Commission Mock Survey for preparations to receive mandatory Accreditation from the Joint Commission Accreditation Healthcare Organization (JCAHO). Under statue 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) the Providence VA Medical Center intends to make the award of this requirement to Joint Commission Resources, Inc. 1515 W 22nd St, Suite 1300 W, Oakbrook, IL 60523, DUNS 193771029, Large Business, Non-Profit Organization. The proposed contract action is for the necessary preparations required to conduct a Mock Survey to prepare the VA Medical Center to undergo the mandatory Inspection to receive Accreditation that expires 3/31/2012. The onsite survey requires a physician, nurse, life safety code specialist and a home care specialist. Joint Commission Resources, Inc. maintains past historical information that belongs the VA Medical Center and will be used to assist in identifying potential citations that can prevent an Accreditation renewal. The Government intends to award this contract to Joint Commission Resources, Inc. based on their expertise to identify areas for improvement before the inspection from (JCAHO). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. The product service code is R499 and the NAICS Code is 541611, $7.0 Million. No solicitation document is available. The notice is current through FAC 2005-53.
