- Description
- This procurement is being performed under FAR 13 and FAR 12. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego Contracting Office intends to award a firm fixed price contract to purchase a hydraulic dynamometer Model 101-130 with stainless steel rotor housing and end cap, housing/flange trunnion mount cutouts, additional threaded holes and strain gage load cell for load testing of F-18 AMAD gearboxes on a sole source basis. This is being done under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) due to data and patents owned by Kahn Industries Inc. The applicable NAICS: 332912, business size 500. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote will be issued on or about August 12, 2011 directly to Kahn Industries Inc. This procurement is issued as unrestricted. The Government is seeking quotations for new material only. All material is required to be manufactured IAW with current OEM drawings. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination by the Government. Standard commercial packaging and marking will be required. Delivery location is Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, NAS North Island, Bay Road, Building 94 San Diego CA 92135-7058. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. All inquires received by the closing date will be reviewed by the government.
