Description
Q: In the "Audio re-enforcement" section of the SOW it states "Wireless Professional Series Lapel/Handheld System" A: This system has both a wireless and lapel mic incorporated into it. Q: Under the "Presentation Sound System" section of the SOW it asks for "Control Series Speakers". A: 8" speakers are fine because of the size of the room and they will be ceiling mounted in acoustical tiles Q: Please confirm...based on the SOW it appears that the projector mounts are in place and the contractor is required to mount the GFE projector to the already installed mount. Is this correct? A: Yes the mounts are already in place. The contractor is responsible for mounting projector and installing an outlet. Romex comes to the mount but there is no outlet installed. Q: Please confirm...based on the SOW it appears there will be (4) basic keypads in each of the (4) classrooms while (1) classroom (main) will have (1) keypad and a 5" touch panel. Is this correct? A: Yes that is correct Q: Since the main classroom will have the 5" touch panel does the government still wish to have the basic keypad in the main classroom as well? Or can we cut costs by having just the 5" touch panel in the main classroom? A: No, the keypad must be installed in all classrooms. The intent is to have only trained individuals to use the 5 inch display at the rack. Q: Please confirm...The SOW states there will be a "video/sound" jack in each classroom as well as a way to hook up a DVD player. Is the intention of the "video/sound" jack to be used for laptop/computer connections to the projector? Does there also need to be an additional "video sound" jack in each classroom configured for DVD players? (making it a total of (2) video sound jacks per room) A: No a quick media type input box that has both RGB and composite plus one sound input must be installed in each classroom. Q: Will the main classroom that has the rack mounted input plate also need wall mounted "video sound" jacks? Or will the rack mounted input plates be sufficient? A: No, a wall mounted "video sound" jack is required Q: Is it the government's intent to have (4) separate audio/video zones so instructors can independently pick their sources and hear their material when the room dividers are closed? A: Yes, the wall plate will control that room when the dividers are closed. Q: Is there power at the rack location? Or does the contractor need to add an outlet at the rack? A: The rack location will be next to a wall outlet.
