- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Belvoir, VA, intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award to COMCAST of Virginia, Inc., located at 11101 University Blvd, Manassas, VA 20110. This non-competitive action is being issued by MICC, Fort Belvoir, VA for a base period from 15-AUG-2011 to 14-AUG-2012; and two option periods, 15-AUG-2012 to 14-AUG-2013 and 15-AUG-2013 to 14-AUG-2014. MICC, Fort Belvoir, VA., intends to procure cable television services as required to fulfill the mission and needs of the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. The Fort Belvoir Community Hospital has a need for the establishment of cable television services for Building 1230 as well as its outlying tenant office buildings 808, 1260, 221, 1415, and 1414. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requisition is 517110 Wired Telecommunication Carriers. Comcast is considered a large business. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued. If you feel your firm can provide these services, please submit a capabilities statement by 2 pm EST, 10 Aug 2011, via fax (703) 806-4480 or email to carol.a.collins36.civ@mail.mil. Any response to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that this announcement may constitute the only notice that will be posted for this acquisition, based on the review of any responses to this notice.
