Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate a sole source acquisition with Xerox Corporation, 7900 Westpark Dr. STE A400, Mclean, VA 22102 for supplies and service related to additional equipment for the Xerox Color (XC) 1000 copiers. Equipment required: Plockmatic BT30 Bleed Trim Module, Plockmatic BT30 Waste Kite - Type 1, Full service maintenance for 3 months, Plockamtic BT30 shipping, Plockmatic BT30 installation and operator training. The equipment MUST meet the following requirements: 1. All items MUST be fully compatible with the Xerox color (XC) 1000 copiers. 2. All items must be covered under the Xerox 5-year warranty when installed in the XC 1000 copiers. 3. All items must be propoeraly installed into the current XC copiers without voiding SSA's current Xerox warranty on existing copying machines. 4. All items must be compatible with the Plockmatic Pro 30 Booklet Maker. Capability statements in response to this notice shall provide sufficient information for SSA to determine that a firm other thanXerox Corporation can provide the required hardware an services as described above. If SSA does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement within 3 days of its publication, it will proceed as stated herein.
