- NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Biomonitoring and Health Assessment Branch, Division of Applied Research and Technology (DART), hereby announces its intent to issue a purchase order to Baseline - MOCON, Inc. to procure the Model 8900 GC Gas Analyzer Purpose and Objective: The requirement is to purchase a Model 8900 GC Gas Analyzer for the analysis of naphthalene in ambient air up to four (4) locations in a non-condesing sample, pre-filtered to 0.1 microns. Other portable GC instruments were considered but the Baseline-MOCON 8900 model is the only transportable GC with sequential sampling at four (4) locations. This system is required to support a joint project between NIOSH, Department of Defense and Temple University. All vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to an award of a federal contract. The website is: www.ccr.gov. The Government will review any/all item descriptions and pricing information submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement. Information received in response will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with Baseline-MOCON, Inc., 19661 US Highway 36, Lyons, CO 80540 as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
