- Interested sources shall provide all feedback in writing no later than 12 August 2011. The National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) Enterprise Services is conducting market research for a potential metadata management system. The purpose of this notice is for NGIC to be able to: 1) Obtain and acquire market information for a metadata management solution; 2) Determine the availability of sources that have the capability to provide a metadata management solution in a secure / classified Federal environment; 3) Obtain information of how a prospective company will integrate and deploy a metadata management solution for a future solicitation; and 4) Determine approximate costs and implementation timelines for a metadata management solution. This notice is for market research and planning purpose only and does not obligate the Government to any contractual agreement. This is not a request for proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses, nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted, nor will respondents be notified of the review of the information received. The information obtained from this Request for Information (RFI) will be utilized as market research for consideration in development of the Acquisition Strategy and Acquisition Plan for this requirement. The Government will not reimburse interested sources for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in Fed Biz Opps (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis or solicitation. Prospective sources possessing the qualifications, capability, and experience to respond to this RFI are invited to submit a response as outlined in the "Response Guidelines" of the attached document. Interested sources shall provide all feedback in writing no later than 12 August 2011. Provide responses in writing to NGICContracting@mi.army.mil. Please title your email as follows: RFI Response to NGIC Metadata Management System; Your Company's Name. Interested sources should provide the following information with their submission: 1) company name and address; 2) Commercial And Government Entity Code (CAGE) Code 3) point of contact's name, phone number, and email address; and 4) business size and status if applicable (e.g. 8(a) Program, HUB Zone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, etc.) Responses to this RFI may be evaluated by Government technical experts. The program office has contracted for various non-government technical and administrative staff support services, some of which require contractors to obtain access to proprietary information submitted by other contractors. All non-government contractor support personnel have signed and are bound by the appropriate non-disclosure agreements. The Government may also use these selected support contractor personnel as technical advisors in the evaluation of submissions. Non-government staff support personnel will not have access to RFI that may be labeled by the offerors as Government Access Only.
