- Description
- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a sole source contract to Bloomberg Finance L.P. that delivers business and market data, news, company information, court documents, and legal and legislative information in an integrated web based platform. Effective September 1, 2011, this award may be issued with a base year and four one-year options. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Bloomberg Finance L.P. is the only known source that combines the required business and market data, news, company information, court documents, dockets from all federal and many U.S. state courts, case law, recent opinions in securities law, and other legal and legislative information in one integrated web based platform. The SEC intends to negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications for the provision of this requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. No late responses will be accepted. This is a Notice of Intent, not a solicitation. No solicitation will be issued for this sole source requirement and no other information will be provided.
