- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 5, has a requirement for the construction of two parking lots; one at the Old Marlboro Road Entrance to the refuge and one at the White Pond Road entrance to the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge in Sudbury, MA. The Old Marlboro Road parking area is located in the Town of Maynard, MA and shall provide parking for up to eight vehicles. The work includes clearing and grubbing, construction of a gravel parking lot with infiltration basin, landscaping and installation of a kiosk and bicycle rack. The White Pond Road parking area is located in the Town of Stow, MA and shall provide partking for up to 31 vehicles. Work includes clearing and grubbing, construction of a paved parking lot area w/striping and signage, construction of stormwater pretreetment and treatment areas, solar photovoltaic light poles and installation of a kiost and bicycle rack. This procurement is set aside for small business. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS code is 238990. Award will be made to the qualified contractor (references and qualifications mut be included with the offer) who proposes the best value to the government. The solicitation package will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about August 18, 2011. A bid bond is required and a performance and payment will be required when award is made. Requirements for receiving a government contract include being a qualified contractor registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and the Online Representations and Certification Application (ORCA) at www.bpn.gov. Department of Labor Davis Bacon Wage Rates will apply to this project. Packages must be submitted with complete information, requested by 4:00pm EST on the date specified in the solicitation package.
