- The 11th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews MD intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Pro-Tainer, Inc., to provide three Pro-Tainer 18 cubic yard, hydraulic rear-dumping cardboard recycling trailers used by the 11th Civil Engineering Squadron, of which Pro-Tainer, Inc. is the sole manufacturer. The justification for restricting competition is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements). A post-award notice will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) identifying the 11th Contracting Squadron's Justification and Approval of this sole-source procurement to Pro-Tainer, Inc. for purchase. All inquiries on this action can be submitted in writing (phone calls will not be accepted) by email to the POCs: David.Day@afncr.af.mil; Aaron.Gravelle@afncr.af.mil, NO LATER THAN 08 August 2011@ 4:00 p.m EST. This is NOT a request for Proposal and does NOT constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this Special Notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
