- THE FDA INTENDS TO PURCHASE A RAMAN SPECTROMETER – WORK STATION 785 The FDA has a requirement for a RAMAN SPECTROMETER - WORK STATION 785, for a library - based drug quality studies. These drugs play an important role in protecting public health during a national crisis. A Raman Spectrometer that is capable of sampling a variety of dosage forms is required so that the Division of Pharmaceutical Analysis' (DPA) efforts can be applied to the broadest range of products and materials.
