- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to procure on a sole source basis from AAI Corporation, 124 Industry Ln, Hunt Valley, MD 21030-3342, a quantity of two (2) NAVSIM-150 units, part number 37875-41023-150; a quantity of two (2) NAVSIM-140 units, part number 37875-41023-140; and a quantity of two (2) NAVSIM-100 units, part number 37875-41023-100. This procurement is sole source to AAI Corporation as they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the NAVSIM unit in the approved configuration. Futhermore, only AAI Corporation possesses the design drawings and manufacturing processes necessary to produce these items. The NAICS code is 333319 with a size standard of 500 employees. The government reserves the right to award on an all or none basis or to make partial awards to fulfill the needs of the government. The award shall be firm fixed price. FOB Destination shall apply. This requirement shall be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation number is N00178-11-R-1061. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). DoD will no longer make award to vendors not registered in CCR.
