Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: The 176 Mission Support Contracting Element, JBER, Alaska intends to award a purchase order for the purchase of the following Blast Tactical Operations Manikin. All items below are brand name or equal. If quoting "or equal" items, please include all physical, functional and performance capabilities. Award will be based on lowest price technically acceptable. The NAICS code for this requirement is 423450. 1 EACH Blast Tactical Operations Manikin, Item # TOM-0002 Includes part #s (TOM-1001, TOM-2002, TOM-4203, TOM-4100, TOM-3000, TOM-5100, TOM-5202) A durable, ruggedized patient care simulator made to withstand harsh treatment during tactical trauma training. The unit is designed to move like a human, with multiple movements in the spine, shoulder, pelvic area, elbow and knees. The manikin simulates massive bleeding, and breathing can be controlled by recovery position for Care Under Fire. The manikin contains several areas of massive and minor bleeding throughout the main arteries and face. These "live responses" are managed via a single controller that provides a number of features to support TAC Med and TCCC training. T.O.M. Man is a manikin designed to assist in both classroom settings and in full mission profile scenarios. The interchangeable appendages present a variety of wounds, including gun-shot, blast, and burn. The ability to quickly replace moulage extremities provide for full mission profiles in combat scenarios. The durability and realism of the T.O.M. Man make for a cost effective, educational trauma training tool. The anticipated award date is 26 August 2011. Firms that believe that they can provide similar required items must provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer. This announcement constitutes the only written notice.
