- This notice is released to announce the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Great Plains Regional Office, intent to award a firm-fixed price construction contract to restore and renovate the heating system at the Cheyenne Eagle Butte Boys Dormitory Building. The boiler room experienced flooding which resulted in approximately 4 feet of water in the boiler room. Several mechanical and electrical components were completely or partially submerged and must be replaced in order to restore heating capability to the building. Electrical work will replace old and damaged panels and provide distribution infrastructure for a future generator. The project will consist of direct mechanical equipment replacement and electrical distribution renovation in order to restore operation to the heating system. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Great Plains Regional Office, requires a firm -fixed price construction contract, and the procurement method is Sealed Bid procedures, FAR Part 14. The estimated price range of the procurement is between $150,000 and $250,000. The period of performance is 45 days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. The project is classified under NAICS Code 238220 and has a size standard of $14 Million. This procurement is open market. Due to the urgency of this project, solicitation packages are available immediately. Interested firms are to submit a written request for the IFB package directed to Anita Bollen at Fax No. 605-226-7741 or email Anita.Bollen@bia.gov. Include your e-mail address on your request. Telephone requests to obtain IFB packages will not be accepted. Bidders should visit the website located at www.fedbizopps.gov periodically to look for updates. A 20% Bid Guarantee is required at bid opening and 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required 10 days after award.
