- USCGC FORWARD, Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Note: Please see attachments to view this combined synopsis/solicitation in its entirety. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number HSCG80-11-Q-P45WR9 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). HSCG80-11-Q-P45WR9 and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-52. This requirement is being solicited as a Total Small Business Set-aside using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Subpart 13. The Small Business Size Standard for NAICS 336611 is less than 1,000 employees. This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract. The anticipated award date is on or about August 29, 2011. Work covered by this solicitation shall be completed within eleven (11) calendar days from the date the vessel becomes available to the contractor. Work is scheduled to start on September 12, 2011 and end on September 22, 2011. The Place of Performance will be at the USCGC FORWARD's home moorings located at 4000 Coast Guard Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23703. The government intends to award from this solicitation to the responsible vendor whose quote conforming to the solicitation provides the best value. Main Street, Suite 550, Norfolk, VA 23510. As per FAR 52.215-5 FACSIMILE PROPOSALS (OCT 1997), offerors may submit facsimile quotes as responses to this solicitation.
