- This is a Notice of Intent to make a Sole Source award under the authority of FAR 13.501 to SpaceSaver weapons rack system. The existing weapons rack system is in need of being modified in order to accommodate the new weapons that the U.S. Army has incorporated Army wide. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Other Than Full and Open Competition. Firms having the ability to provide this service should notify Ray Workman in writing via e-mail at dallas.ray.workman@us.army.mil by 2:00 P.M. MST on 12 August 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
