- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.NNA11394514Q is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for one (1) UncooledInfrared Camera that will be used to image rocket plumes during the liftoff of launchvehicles. The camera must have capability to see through / photograph through the steamproduced by the evaporation of water used on the launch pad and through the smoke toidentify the hot core.The camera must meet the following specifications: 640 X 480resolution; uncooled; and infrared spectral range of 7.5 to 13 micrometers; Thermalsensitivity Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) of approximately 50 mK; Framerate of up to 200Hz; Temperature measurement range from 0 degrees C to 2000 degrees C;Digital data streaming capability through GigE Ethernet; One (1) 45 degree view anglelense, f/1; One (1) 24 degree view angle lense, f/1; Recording, data analysis, andplotting software. The camera must be delivered to NASA Ames Research Center by September10, 2011.The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-53 and NFSPN-63; and may be reviewed at https://www.acquisition.gov/far/index.html andhttp://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/procurement/regs/nfstoc.htm, respectively.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.Delivery of the camera is required no later than 10 September 2011.
