- The Regional Contracting Office, National Capital Region (RCO-NCR), Quantico Marine Corps Base, Quantico VA 22134 has a requirement for Cisco Supplemental Routers (New not refurbished) to support the United States Marine Corps. These items will be acquired in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12- Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13- Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification Systems code for this acquisition is 334119/1000 size standard. For this solicitation, the RCO-NCR intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc.; therefore, vendors should not use the Submit Bid button on the NECO website to submit their pricing information. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, and browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. A vendor may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. RCO-NCR is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency s ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible vendors that respond to this synopsis MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data, or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Vendors who require special considerations or assistance may contact the FedBid Helpdesk at 877-9FEDBID (877-933-3243) or via e-mail at clientservices@fedbid.com. Vendors may not artifically manipulate the price of a transaction on www.FedBid.com by any means. It is unacceptable to place bad faith bids, to use decoys in the FedBid process, or to collude with the intent or effect of hampering the competitive process. It is the responsibility of the vendor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm. Central Contractor Registration (CCR): Vendors must register in the CCR database to be considered for award. Registration is free and can be completed online at http://www.ccr.gov/. The proposed contract action is for a brand name items. The brand name, model number, and salient charachteristics of the product(s) are: C3925-VSEC-PSRE/K9, Cisco 3925/3945 Fan Assy, C3900-SPE100/K9, ISR-CCP-EXP, 1GB DRAM for Cisco.
