- Description
- The 388th Range Squadron is seeking to fulfill a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) coverage requirement for the southern part of the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR). There is a safety and operational requirement that personnel working on the UTTR be in constant communication with each other and the functions monitoring the range. The 388th Range Squadron currently leases equipment rack space, antenna space and microwave circuits from the State of Utah at Frisco Peak and is looking for an alternative repeater site at Frisco Peak that is more cost effective. The service provided by the site must be available 365 days a year. Frisco Peak Details LOCATION: 38' 31" 05 North, 113' 17" 15 West ELEVATION: 9,658 feet Mean Sea Level Approximately 117 miles (188 km) Line of Sight from Dugway Proving Ground Approximately 192 miles (309 km) Line of Sight from Hill Air Force Base Specifications required to support LMR equipment 1. Circuits: 1 each, 4 wire, Electrical and Mechanical 2. Channels: 1 3. Antenna: 1, 6-foot Omni UHF antenna 4. Equipment rack: 1 each, 84 inches high, 19 inches wide. Equipment in the rack requires 120 volt electrical power. The 388th Range Squadron owns the equipment and the antenna.
