Description
Description of Supplies/Services: 8 mobile reconnaissance device kits (including robot, operator controller unit, chargers for robot and OCU, and hard carrying case); 2 monitoring systems that record and show robot views in a command post; 8 carrying bags for robot and operator control unit; 8 tether cords and reels for robot; 4 field maintenance kits for repair of robots EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS: Robot unit size Robot shall not exceed a length of 8 inches. Robot shall not exceed a width of 4 inches. Robot shall not exceed a height of 5 inches. Robot shall not weigh more than 2 pounds. Robot unit durability Robot must be capable of withstanding multiple impact forces associated with throws up to 100 feet. Robot must be capable of withstanding multiple impact forces associated with drops from a height of 30 feet onto a concrete surface. Robot must be water-resistant Robot unit maneuverability/range Robot must have a turning radius of zero degrees. Robot shall have a forward operating speed of at least one foot per second. Robot must be capable of receiving wireless command signals and transmitting wireless video up to 300 feet direct line of side and 100 feet obstructed. Robot must be operational un-tethered with a tether option for retrieval. Robot must be able to negotiate linear obstacles 2 inches tall. Robot unit image sensor Robot shall be equipped with an ultra low-light camera system rated to 0.0003 lux. Robot shall be equipped with an infrared optical system capable of automatic activation in low ambient light. Robot shall be equipped with infrared illuminator capable of viewing images up to 25 feet away in total darkness. Robot unit run time capabilities Robot must be able to operate at up to 60 minutes on a single charge. Robot operating frequencies Robots must have sufficient different frequencies to allow the ability to operate at least three robots in the same environment Operator Control Unit (OCU) OCU must weigh less than 2 pounds. OCU shall be equipped with at least a 3.5 inch video screen. OCU shall not exceed a height of 22 inches (including antennas). OCU shall not exceed a width of 4 inches. Remote Monitoring System capabilities System must be capable of receiving video signal from the robot up to 1000 feet away. System must be capable of switching frequencies to monitor video transmissions from up to three robots. System shall include a Yagi antenna and tripod. Repair Kit Field replaceable kit with two spare wheels (parts and tools); Field replaceable spare tail (parts and tools); Field replaceable spare robot antennas (parts and tools); Field replaceable OCU antennas (parts and tools); Field replaceable optics covers, quantity 5 (parts and tools) Carrying Bag MOLLE carrying bag for the robot and OCU (min. 3lb capacity) Tether capability Tether rope for retrievable of robot (min. 50 feet); Tether reel for robot cord (min. 50 foot capacity)
