- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT for Solicitation RFQ294447 for a sole source procurement. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed priced commercial purchase order with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for the acquisition of replacement tires for the primary limousine. The required replacement tires are designed to handle extremely heavy loads, as well as meet standards of protective driving. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber company is the only vendor which can provide the custom made, specially engineered and certified tires. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 326211. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the services as detailed above. Responses may only be sent via e-mail to Neil Clark Lanzendorf at Neil.Lanzendorf@usss.dhs.gov. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Submission of information does not guarantee this requirement to become a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to not open the requirement to full and open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All submissions shall be submitted to the Government by no later than 9 August, 2011 at 1700 EST. After which time, a Sole Source purchase order to Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company is intended to be issued. Late submissions of interest will not be considered for this procurement, but may be considered for future procurements.
