- Solicitation Number: W91YTZ-11-P-0555 PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT Synopsis: Health Care Acquisition Activity - North intends to award a sole source contract Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), to Smith Medical ASD, Inc., 160 Weymouth St., Rockland, MA 02370, for the purchase of 6 each SurgiVET Advisor Vital Signs Monitor with ECG/SpO2/HR/NIBP/Respiration/Battery/IBP/Temp/ETCO2/Printer; 6 each Advisor Roll Stand; 6 each SurgiVet Advisor Data Logger; and 6 each CO2 Calibration Kits. This requirement for the following equipment is the model directed for use by VETCOM across the military. It conforms to internationally recognized standards for this class of equipment and is specifically listed in the U.S. Army Veterinary Command's Standard Operating Procedures and listed in MEDCOM Pam 40-13. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
