Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY: SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED BY COB AUGUST 10, 2011. The purpose of the contract to be awarded as a result of the solicitation process will be to perform stream surveys (also known as stream inventories) and write survey reports for the Olympic National Forest. Surveys will collect data on the physical, hydrologic, and biological components of stream systems and adjacent riparian areas through field surveys. The solicitation will include base and optional stream survey items as well as an optional item for input of data collected into a standardized database (NRIS). If awarded, the data input work will be completed at a designated USDA-FS National Forest office. The Contractor shall follow the Forest Service Region 6 Stream Inventory Handbook (current version) and additional Olympic National Forest methodology to be specified in Section J. A Request for Quotations - Commercial Items (RFQ) solicitation will be issued for the performance of all work items. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The stream survey performance component of the contract will take place during the 2012 field season.
