- DESCRIPTION: Replacement of the culvert crossing of Hunting Creek on FSR 45. Project includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, soil erosion and pollution control, minor concrete, 50' x 23' span x 7'-5 1/2" rise steel structural plate arch, riprap, culvert and concrete removal, crushed aggregate, and seeding and mulching. GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $25,000 and $100,000 SITE LOCATION: FSR 45 is located within the administrative boundaries of the Glenwood & Pedlar Ranger Districts, George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, in Bedford County, Virginia. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE AND SITE VISIT INFORMATION: Contract time will be 60 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. A Site Showing will be held (date and time will be included in the Request for Quotation package when posted to the FBO website). The meeting will be held at the Glenwood & Pedlar Ranger Districts Office, 27 Ranger Lane, Natural Bridge Station VA 24579. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and must have completed a profile in the Online-Representations and Certifications (ORCA) database prior to award of a contract. CCR registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. ORCA registration can be completed on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration. SET-ASIDE: This project is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this project is 237310; the small business size standard is $33.5 million. BONDING INFORMATION: A bid guarantee is NOT required. Contractor WILL BE REQUIRED to furnish 100% Payment Protection in the form of an irrevocable letter credit or a payment bond to the USDA, Forest Service within 10 calendar days of the date it receives notice of award. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-3395-S-11-0022 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request for Quotation and will be available for downloading on or around August 17, 2011 at the website address: http://www.fbo.gov/. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor.
