- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a special Notice of Intent to award a sole-source firm fixed price commodities purchase order in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1) and 6.302-1(2)(ii) under the expressed authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c). US Army Contracting Agency, Mission & Installation Contracting Command, 9410 Jackson Loop, Suite 101, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5134, intends to award a sole-source eleven firm-fixed price contract to Scott Technologies Inc, 4320 Goldmine Rd., Monroe, NC 28110. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the government and will be awarded without discussion for SEMS II Mesh Networking Equipment. The North American Classification Code (NAICS) 423850 applies. Description of Services Requried: SEMS II MESH NETWORKING EQUIPMENT Items and equipment to establish a mesh network to provide instant accountability and locatability for emergency workers and first responders. Items must be fully compatible with existing SCBA gear to maintain OSHA certification.
