- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: The Spaceand Naval Warfare Systems Center,Pacific (SSC Pacific), is seeking sourcesthat can provide the assembly of up to100 deep water fairings. The fairingassembly is the combination of abuoyant deep water fairing coupled toa latch housing. SSC Pacific intends toissue a competitive solicitation as afollow-on to contract N66001-03-D-0005, LBI Inc. and anticipatesawarding a single Commercial Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The purposeof this announcement is to determineif sufficient qualified small businesssources exist for a small business setaside. Firms are invited to submitappropriate documentation, literature,brochures and references to supportthat they possess the requiredspecialized experience and capabilityto meet or exceed all the requirementsof the attached specification. Eachfairings maximum weight shall be18.6lbs plus or minus (+/-) 0.2lb with apositive buoyancy of 3.00lb to 4.00lb insaltwater and must maintain at least1.0lb of positive buoyancy to apressure of 267psi in sea water for atleast seven (7) days. Interested firmsshould also provide, at a minimum,the following: : (1) name and addressof your firm; (2) size of businessincluding number of employees; (3)ownership, including whether: Large,Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a),Women-Owned, HUBZone, VeteranOwned and/or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business; (4) number of yearsin business; (5) two points of contact,including: name, title, phone, fax, ande-mail address; and (6) Cage Code,DUNS Number (if available); (7)affiliate information: parentcorporation, joint venture partners,potential teaming partners, primecontractor (if potential sub) orsubcontractors (if potential prime); (8)a list of customers covering the past 5years: highlight relevant work,including a summary of workperformed, contract number, contracttype, dollar value for each customerreference, and customer point ofcontact with phone number and emailaddress. A determination as towhether this procurement will be setaside for small business concerns orcompeted on an unrestricted basis willbe based upon responses to thisannouncement. This synopsis is forinformation and planning purposesonly and is not to be construed as acommitment by the Government. Thisis not a solicitation announcement. Noreimbursement will be made for anycosts associated with providinginformation in response to thisannouncement, or any follow-upinformation requests. The Governmentreserves the right to consider a set-aside for small businesses or one ofthe small business preferencegroups. The applicable NorthAmerican Industrial ClassificationSystem (NAICS) Code is 332999- AllOther Miscellaneous Fabricated MetalProduct Manufacturing and the smallbusiness size standard is 500employees.
