- DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District intends to award on a Sole Source basis with the Westwood Corporation, 12402 E. 60yth Street, Tulsa, OK 74146. The contractor will provide controllers, parallel boxes, and associated Lex boxes (with an option for second set of each). Services incidental to the equipment will include: Contractor shall provide qualified technical personnel at or above the "expert technician" level to: oInsure proper installation and verification of safe operation/ oProvide oversight of pre-test exercise scenarios ensuring safe operation, definitize back-up plan procedures, maintenance procedures, safety checks, training for the technicians deploying to theater, etc). oIf directed, provide support during the Safety testing at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The Contractor will recommend and assist in developing listing of spare parts required on-site for deployments of 180 days of operation. Provide on-call "1-800 number" maintenance support for use by PM-MEP technician can call if he is troubleshooting a problem, and needs immediate contractor advice. Contract period of performance is ten (10) months after receipt of award. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Competitive Proposals. No contract will be made on the basis of this notice. However, all information received within three (3) calendar days after date of publication of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The government will not pay for information received. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
