- This is a Sources Sought Notice Only. No formal solicitation or documents exist at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia intends to solicit a commercial item procurement for Wheelchair Van Services, twenty-four (24) hours per day, three hundred sixty-five days per year for a one year period. Vendors will furnish fifteen (20) vans, personnel and equipment necessary to provide wheelchair van services for eligible beneficiaries of the VA Medical Center in accordance with all existing Federal, State and Local Regulations. Some veterans will be required to be picked up from Beckley, West Virginia as well as Salem, Virginia. The NAICS code is 485991, $7.0M. The procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedures of FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 15. This requirement is subject to the availability of FY12 funds. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of firm, point of contact, size of business and any pertinent information which demonstrates firms' ability to meet the above requirement. All responses of capability shall be submitted via email no later than August 5, 2011 at 4:00 PM, local time to Faye.Dillard@va.gov.
