- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Solar Panel Installation Instruction Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex, (FCC) Victorville, California. The successful contractor shall provide classroom instruction based on the curriculum for Solar Panel Installation Instruction at the approval of the FCC. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base year and four possible 12 month option years for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 3 instructional courses offered per year. The contractor is to provide services Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 7:30am. - 10:30 am, and/or 12:00pm - 3:00pm, or other hours as agreed to by the Supervisor of Education. Class size will be up to 25 inmate students per course. Academic schedules proposed in accordance with the above will apply except in the event of institutional emergencies. In the event of an emergency, classes may be delayed or cancelled as necessary. The Contractor will supply all workbooks, textbooks and classroom materials, as well as instruction. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the lowest priced quote to the Government. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract. The solicitation will be available on or about August 10, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 1, 2011, however, the actual date can be found on Block #8 on the SF1449 in the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 611210. The solicitation is unrestricted. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
