- This amendment is to add the following: Clauses and Provisions that apply to this acqusition: FAR 52.219-4,HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference ----------------------------------------------------- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition Number W81EWF-12004249 is being issued as a Request for Quotation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113 (SIC 3842). Size Standards is 500 Employees. The USACE, Engineer Research & Development Center, Environmental Laboratory - Environmental Microbiology and Environmental Genomic and Genetics team has a need for the following: Getinge 522LS Gravity, Microcomputer-Controlled Steam Sterilizer, brand name or equal, other brands will be evaluated for physical, functional, and performance characteristics. FOB Destination: Vicksburg, MS. Specifications are as follows: 1) Must have the capability of generating the following cycling parameters: a) Up to 6 Gravity cycles of 30 minutes exposure at 121 C (250 F) with 30 minutes dry time b) Up to 6 Liquid* cycles at 121 C (250 F), with 30 minutes exposure 2) During the timed exposure phase, the temperature shall be controlled by the chamber sensor at 0.5 C (0.9 F) above the set point ( 0.2 C). Temperature selectivity shall be in 0.1 C (0.1 F) increments. Timing functions shall be selectable in one-second increments, and accuracy is within 0.04%. 3) Autoclave shall have vertical sliding door that is counterbalanced for ease of operation. 4) Small external footprint no larger than 2-6" wide, 5-11" high, and 3-10" deep 5) Rectangular chamber design with internal dimensions at the minimum 21.5" x 21.5" x 38" (9.7 Cu. Ft) 6) Access to a local service representative from vendor to service unit within hours instead of days, thereby limiting downtime.
