- The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to issue an invitation for bid (IFB) solicitation for the fabrication and delivery of four culvert valves (contract option), four strut assemblies, four machinery bases, and miscellaneous metals for the Cheatham Lock project. This is a total small business set-aside IFB. There will be qualification requirements for the structural steel fabricating plant and fabricator to be certified under the AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) Quality Certification Program, Category III, Major Steel Bridges (CBR) category with Fracture Critical endorsement (F). From this IFB, the Government intends to award one firm-fixed price commercial supply item contract. The Government intends to award without discussions to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The period of performance for this procurement will be 274 calendar days from contract award. The estimated release date for this IFB is on or about 9 August 2011. Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be made available in the IFB. No drawings, plans, or specifications will be made available until then. The IFB documents for this procurement will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) database. You can access these files from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov. It is, and will continue to be, all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the FBO website for any amendments, updates, responses to questions and answers, etc. as the Government will not be maintaining a mailing list. Bidders must be successfully registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov, in order to receive a Government contract award.
