- This is a subscription to Informa Economics. Informa Economics offers a comprehensive package of well-respected, timely and highly detailed commodity market information. The focus is on US and world acreage and crop production, supply and demand estimates, price outlooks, transportation and storage projections, weather forecasts, commodity or developments related to agricultural policy, farm programs and long-term agribusiness trends. The scope of this work covers the following commodities, all Major Grains, Oilseeds and Products, Cotton and Fibers. Research underpinned by a thorough understanding of production and usage for the US and the world, with fundamental factors incorporated into analysis and forecasts. U.S. and world production forecasts based on our well-respected survey of acreage and yields. Production prospects in other countries assessed through travel by Informa Economics personnel and extensive contacts around the world. Informa Economics' demand forecasts based on domestic consumption by individual countries, then expanded into detailed projections of trade flows.The Informa economicsis an essential, unique report for USDA/FAS/OGA and is critical for the commodity analysts in the focus on US and world acreage and crop production, supply and demand estimates, price outlooks, transportation and storage projections, weather forecasts, agricultural policy, farm programs and long-term agribusiness trends. The scope of this work covers all major grains, oilseeds and products, cotton and fibers. It also aids in our analysis and evaluation of global price and trade patterns. The report gives FAS credible, reliable market information that is generally tightly controlled by a few key foreign governments and trading companies. The extensive experience, expertise, and personal contacts provided by the Informa economics contribute significantly to USDA's analysis and credibility. This action is being processed in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, and solicited in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Informa Economics currently provides these types of subscriptions. No other organization is known to provide these types of subscriptions. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities regarding this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement by the date specified herein. The period of performance for this effort will be one year. The Government will consider all capabilities statements received by 12pm EST, Monday, August 8, 2011. Please be advised that it is the offeror's responsibility to assure the Government receives your submission on or before the specified due date. Submissions shall be sent electronically to Shavonne King, Contract Specialist at shavonne.king@aqd.nbc.gov This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this announcement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. The Government reserves the right to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) as a result of this announcement. Please be advised that this announcement may constitute the only notice that will be posted for this acquisition, based on the review of any responses to this notice.
